There are times when your display will show a cool photo of someone, new or old, and you'll wonder if you've sent it to them or not. An easy way to immediately share it is to just ask that. The display will take you through the steps of picking the right contact, right email address, and then verify everything before it's sent.
Share photos & videos in a conversation
If you’re a Mac user, you’re in luck. With Mac’s Photo app, you can create a slideshow, save it as a video file, and then burn it to a DVD just like we did in the Windows walkthrough. Select the images you would like to add to the slideshow and then select the “Open ” button.
They also require placing the device close to the bed and calibrating for your sleeping position. Google Assistant, the Google Fit app and other Google apps may be required for full functionality. We consciously decided to not include a camera on Google Home Hub, so you feel comfortable placing it in the private spaces of your home, like the bedroom.
Remove comments & likes
Quick Gestures use Motion Sense to detect when your hand moves – without a camera. The enhanced speaker delivers 50% more bass than the original Nest Hub. Create groups with other Nest speakers and displays for brilliant sound in every room. Say “Hey Google, leave a video message for John” or send a video message from the Duo app on your phone.
If it’s a new album or conversation, you’ll get an email notification. You can use Quick Gestures to control many Nest Hub features. Play or pause a song or video, snooze an alarm and stop a timer.

With Face Match, just walk up to Hub Max and your Assistant will let you know about any video messages or missed calls you've received. Customize your news by selecting from some of your favorite sources, including hundreds of national and local broadcasters. Want to learn more about what’s happening within a specific topic? Ask “Hey Google, show me the sports news,” for example.
Ask Google to set reminders, timers and alarms. They're perfect for recipes, appointments, homework time and more. Select your display on the main screen of the app, tap the Settings icon, and select Photo Frame. A list of your albums will appear. Select the one you want to display.
You can also share groups of photos. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove. Photos of your family and friends should now appear on your Nest display. If you have Voice Match enabled, you can also say “Hey Google, change Photo frame” to open Photo frame settings on your Nest display.

Turn off your bedroom lights, adjust your thermostat, set alarms and check your morning schedule – right from the device. Ask Google to play music or a video, pause a song, control volume and more. Change your compatible smart bulb colors to set the party mood. "OK, Google, turn my lights pink."
Set aside quiet time before bed with Downtime, and the Hub Max will hold off on sharing notifications or responding to commands. Or use Quick Gestures to stop the timer with just a raise of your hand. Search for photos of your dog, birthdays, weddings and more. Here you can turn on and off Weather, Time, and Personal Photo Data. The first two, Weather and Time, are self-explanatory. Personal Photo Data adds marking to the display that explains what album the photo came from and who it belongs to (if you’re sharing your Google Photos). If you have existing albums, you can choose them. Alternatively, you can try Recent Highlights which will rely on Google’s algorithms to surface interesting photos you’ve taken recently. Can learn things, but it doesn’t understand them, so this can lead to odd results, like a collage of carpet swatches being featured.
Can a Google Home Hub be used as a smart display?
Select “Burn” at the top of the window. In the Edit window, you can add and format text, change the slide transition length and give it a slick animation, and add music. Give it your special touch and then select the “OK” button. In the app, go to Library and tap the + to create a new album.
